One Kid Down, One To Go

Unbeknownst to be, I bought my last box of diapers a few weeks ago. My three-year old son is potty trained and my two-year old daughter is not far behind, even happy with an adult potty.

Today at Walmart I stared down the boxes of diapers and decided I'd already bought my last one. I've introduced pull-ups to my daughter already and opted for a jumbo refill instead. The port-a-potty is in a heap in the garage and my game face is on. No dragging this one out. It's on!

P.S. I do not have a source for this picture. If you have one to share with me, I will be happy to add it.

Seame Street Live Elmo's Superheroes

On Wednesday, the DH and I took our two little ones to see Sesame Street Live Elmo's Superheroes at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center and had a BLAST! It was everything I imagined it would be and am so happy I am able to do these things with my darling husband and wonderful children.

A Mom's Job

Being a Mom is very rewarding. Perhaps the most rewarding job I'll ever have. However, not every day is a dream and every night a song. Some days I cry because I've overwhelmed when my children are not cooperating, or they conveniently forget their manners in public and humiliate me. I'm learning to accept that having a three year-old AND a two-year old, these things are bound to happen, and I should be less worried about what onlookers think of my parenting skills and instead put on my big-girl panties, re-strategize and move forward.

This is a work in progress.
